RENARD'S PRIORITIES
PROMISES TO PROGRESS
These are the issues that shape daily life in Warrenton and the practical steps Renard Carlos will take as mayor to address them.
Affordable Housing
Renard sees housing as both a community issue and an economic issue because when the people who work in Warrenton cannot afford to live nearby, it impacts businesses, public services, and long-term stability. His approach focuses on reactivating the Affordable Workforce Housing Committee, partnering with Fauquier County to align housing and retail strategy, and responsibly evaluating Town-owned land and partnership options without rushing into premature development.
Keep Warrenton LIVABLE for working families.
Government Responsibility
Government responsibility means Town Hall is transparent with decisions, disciplined with taxpayer dollars, and accountable for outcomes, not just intentions. As mayor, Renard Carlos will push clear reporting on priorities, straightforward communication residents can understand, and a higher standard of ethics and follow-through so Warrenton sees measurable results.
Transparent spending. Accountable leadership. REAL RESULTS.
Economic Growth
Renard’s economic plan is focused on keeping opportunity and revenue in the Town by supporting small businesses and building a stable workforce that strengthens long-term fiscal health. As mayor, he will push targeted incentives and streamlined processes for local entrepreneurs, leverage downtown and tourism assets to bring spending into Warrenton, and better coordinate Town and County strategies so growth strengthens the tax base and reduces pressure on residents.
Grow OPPORTUNITY without raising the burden on residents.
Data Centers
Renard’s position is clear: residents have been clear they do not support large-scale data centers in the Town, and those concerns about infrastructure, costs, environment, and quality of life must be respected. He supports transparency and meaningful public input on major land-use decisions, and he will pursue growth that better fits Warrenton’s scale and character while ensuring large commercial development pays its fair share.
Growth THAT FITS Warrenton, not overpowers it.
Public Safety
Renard believes public safety starts with supporting the people who protect the community every day, including ensuring first responders are properly trained, equipped, and backed by Town leadership. He will strengthen collaboration with law enforcement, emergency services, and the volunteer fire department while managing resources responsibly to keep Warrenton safe and fiscally strong.
Support first responders. PROTECT our community.
Education Partnerships
Renard believes investing in kids is investing in Warrenton’s future, and that Town leadership still plays a real role through planning, budgeting, and coordination even if the Town does not directly operate schools. He will prioritize strong partnerships with county leaders, educators, and community organizations so decisions about growth and resources support families and long-term opportunity.
STRONG SCHOOLS start with strong partnerships.
